Below are some of the questions that I regularly get asked. If however, you have a question and can't find the answer below then please email me and I will be happy to help.

How long will the design process take?

Start times and turnaround times for projects vary depending on my workload at any particular time and on the complexity of each individual project. When supplying you with a quote, I will also provide you with a guide to my current delivery timeframes for projects. For example, when the initial concept designs are likely to be ready and how long to expect each round of revisions to take to turnaround.

How much do you charge?

For the majority of projects, I prefer to provide clients with a fixed rate quote for each individual project, rather than billing by an hourly rate. This means that you know how much the design work will cost and there are no nasty surprises when I bill you at the end of the project. Each client is unique and I tailor their quote to suit their individual requirements.

Can I discuss my project with you over the phone?

Although many of my projects have been carried out completely using just email contact, I am happy to discuss your requirements over the telephone should you require. All new clients will be supplied with my phone numbers should they need to contact me. However, as I work from home and have a small child I prefer that we schedule via email a time for a chat beforehand, saves me wasting your time and money if you call and my toddler tries to grab the phone to say hello!

Who will own the copyright to my design?

On receipt of full payment, the exclusive copyright of the final chosen design is automatically passed to you. I do however retain the right to display the design in my portfolio, or for promotional purposes on or offline.

How will I receive my artwork?

Your final artwork will be supplied to you via email or YouSendIt for larger files, in a variety of formats for use in both web and print. These will include JPEG, GIF, TIFF and EPS files. Other formats can also be provided on request.

I would like you to design my business stationery but what if my contact details change in the future?

I keep a back up of your final stationery designs indefinitely, so if in the future your contact details change, the original files can be amended and the new artwork sent across to you for a small fee.

I want some marketing material designed for print, what will you need from me?

When you first enquire about your graphic design project, I will forward across a worksheet for you to complete and return with some information on your design requirements. On receipt of your completed form, I will get back to you with a quote and timescale for your project. You will need to you supply me with any logos, photos, illustrations and text copy you want included in the design piece. If required I can source suitable stock photos and illustration to suit your project.

Do you provide a printing service?

No, but the following printers are worth a look...
www.solutions4print.co.uk
www.ad4design.com
We will supply the final artwork to the specifications of the printing firm you prefer to use.

I need a website, can you help?

Yes, I can either provide a front-end website design - this is the design of a graphical template for your website, supplied to you in an image format ready to be taken to a web developer to have sliced and coded into a functioning website. Alternatively, I can design the entire website and format into html using both CSS and Flash animation if required.
